Update: 35 bekeuringen in NO Twente voor het rijden zonden fietsverlichting

Oldenzaal – De controle van fietsverlichting in de regio Noordoost Twente heeft ondanks dat het langzaam beter gaat, toch nog 35 bekeuringen voor rijden zonder verlichting opgeleverd. Dat laat wijkagent Peters weten via Twitter.

Onder het motto “Ik wil je zien” zal de politie de komende maanden intensief controleren op het juiste gebruik van de fietsverlichting.

Ik wil je zien
‘Ik wil je zien’ is het motto van de landelijke fietsverlichtingscampagne die gestart wordt op 28 oktober. De campagne richt zich vooral op fietsers van 13 – 25 jaar. Juist deze groep fietst nog te vaak zonder licht.

Wat wordt verstaan onder goede fietsverlichting? 

  • Voor: wit of geel licht
  • Achter: rood licht
  • Lampjes aan de fiets of op je borst of rug (niet aan arm of been)
  • Goed zichtbaar zijn
  • Recht vooruit en achteruit schijnen
  • Continu branden (niet knipperen)

Verder is verplicht

  • Een rode achterreflector
  • Pedalen met gele reflectoren
  • Wit of geel reflecterende banden of wielen

Als de verlichting niet volgens de gestelde regels in orde is, volgt direct een boete:

    • Geen licht volgens de regels kost 50 euro.
    • Fietsen zonder de verplichte reflectoren kost 35 euro.
